(MYFOX NATIONAL) - An emotional star-studded tribute to Michael Jackson has concluded at Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles. The event was attended by thousands and watched by millions worldwide.

The Jackson family took the stage at the end of the service, singing "We Are the World" and "Heal the World" with members of Jackson's "This is It" tour musicians.

The service was full of touching moments -- Mariah Carey sang "I'll Be There," a song that she famously covered in 1992; Brooke Shields fought tears when speaking of her close friendship with Jackson; Jermaine Jackson sang one of Jackson's favorite songs, "Smile"; and Usher knelt by the side of Jackson's mother, Katherine, after singing Jackson's "Gone Too Soon."

But the most touching moment for many viewers was when Jackson's daughter, Paris-Michael, bravely stood at the microphone and said, "Daddy has been the best father you can ever imagine. I just wanted to say I love him so much."

After the service, the Jackson family and invited guests convened at the Beverly Wilshire hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Officials also released Jackson's death certificate later in the day. The cause of death is listed as "deferred." Police and coroner's officials continue to probe what killed the 50-year-old singer on June 25. The document doesn't state where Jackson will buried.

Earlier in the day, the Jackson family attended a private ceremony at Forest Lawn cemetery in the Hollywood Hills. TMZ.com reports that there is still a lot of uncertainty as to where Michael Jackson will be buried. They say that the casket will not go back to Forest Lawn. If a casket is seen going back there, it's a decoy.

Fans were given a program book upon entering the arena , but one was also available for purchase. Jackson memorabilia continues to be a hot commodity, with some people illegally selling merchandise .

In addition to many TV stations who broadcast the service live, Web sites also streamed the event and caused few hiccups. Thousands also watched the service at movie theaters around the country .

Below is a recap of all of the speakers and performers at the Michael Jackson memorial service.
